Summary: Four photograph albums containing images of Douglas, Arizona and fighting at the U.S.-Mexico border during the Mexican Revolution, 1911-1915. There are images of Mexican soldiers resting, wounded and dead. Douglas, Ariz. images include street scenes, city water building, a parade with floats and marchers from the U.S. Army's 10th Cavalry (Buffalo Soldiers), and the Warren W. Welcome Shoe Doctor store and other businesses along the parade route. There are images of a U.S. Army encampment, the customs house at Douglas, and the Gadsden Hotel. In Album #1 there are also bicycles, Bank of Douglas, and the Phelps Dodge Mercantile. In Album #2 there are images of women hunters in the Chiricahuas, a cattle drive, and in album #4 there are images of possible Yaqui or Mexican refugees loaded on the Arizona and New Mexico Rail Road cars. Other images of a trip include the Chiricahua Mountains, Phoenix buildings, Roosevelt Dam and Lake, and Walnut Canyon near Flagstaff. There are also a few images of student activities at the University of Illinois and Illinois scenery.
